Harness release(pg2 cont)
This is a nice little harness
release and cable from a so far unidentified aircraft. It
came with a collection of Beaufighter instruments so
it may be Beaufighter but not sure.
contact me if you have
any further information. The Spitfire had a very
similar lever for releasing the pilots harness in an
emergency bail out situation.
A literal "jack of all
trades", the Beaufighter served as a ground attack fighter,
a night fighter, a torpedo bomber and an anti-shipping
strike aircraft. It served in Europe, the Middle East and
the Far East Theatres. It's heavy armament (the MK.VI
carried six wing-mounted .303 calibre machine guns and four
fuselage mounted 20mm cannons as well as eight 90lb. rockets
under the wing) and long range made it a devastating weapon
wherever and however it was deployed. The Italians called it
"il flagello di Dio", which meant the "Scourge of God" and
the Japanese referred to it as the "Whispering Death". It
obviously had a profound impact on it's opponents

Bristol Blenheim Throttle (pg2 cont)

Here we have a
throttle from a Bristol Blenheim. Please note this is from
the English Blenheim and not
the Canadian Boly. Clearly it is not in A1 condition as can
be seen in the pictures but is a very rare item, all the
levers move and as far as I can tell the throttle is

Bristol Blenheim/Bolingbroke Yoke (pg2 cont)
In superb original condition this is an extremely rare grip.
This yoke is for the Canadian Built Bolingbroke which is the
Canadian version of the Bristol Blenheim.
It differs in that the firing button is on the right as
apposed to the left as in the British version.
British
version seen under for comparison only the grip on the left
is the one for sale.

As early as 1937, a
prototype variant of the Blenheim, known as the Bolingbroke
was flown. It had been requested by the Canadian government
as a potential replacement for the AVRO ANSON in
transport and training. This machine was taken on strength
by the RCAF. A long nosed version was developed (to allow
the pilot to see over the bombardier's prone position)

feeling of relief for the crew as at this moment they

Handley page Halifax Trim(Page2 cont)
A really
nice and extremely rare
wheel for a remote D.F.
loop drive (aerial). Would be located in the Wireless
Ops position, of the Halifax. A/M crown so manufactured
before 1944.
A/M 10J/10595
The second of
Britain's four-engine bombers to enter frontline service,
Handley Page's Halifax has forever lived in the shadow of
Avro's superb Lancaster. However, it was a Halifax which
became the first RAF 'heavy' to drop bombs on Germany when
No.35 Squadron raided Hamburg on the night of 12th/13th
March 1941. Between 1941-45, the Halifax completed some
75,532 sorties (compared with the Lancaster's 156,000) with
Bomber Command alone, not to mention its sterling work as
both a glider tug and paratroop carrier with the Airborne
Forces, maritime patrol mount with Coastal Command and
covert intruder with the SOE. The Halifax was also the only
RAF four-engine bomber to see action in the Middle East.
Built in six major variants (and numerous sub-series within
these variants) which differed primarily in the type of
engine employed, no fewer than 6176 Halifax's were completed
for the RAF between October 1939 and November 1946

Original Early
Battle of France and Britain Hurricane spade grip (pg2 cont)

This grip is the very
first grip produced by Dunlop for the Hurricane. It is in
superb condition and does not have the usual cut marks on
the base. This grip has no corrosion and should be
serviceable. This grip was used on the very first Hurricanes
as can been see from the patent applied for markings. It is
made from a slightly different material than the later
grips. Although the brake lever is missing it still
has the original bolt to attach the lever and the locking
devise for locking the brake. I can supply a repro brake
lever if required for no additional cost. The gun
button functions as it should and I see no reason subject to
the required checks that this grip should fly again.

Hurricane/Whirlwind Spade Grip 2 (pg2 cont)

This totally original spade
grip is the same model as shown above but has been set up
for a Harvard and is therefore minus its brake lever as the
Harvard had brakes on the rudder pedals. It is however
exactly the same grip it has the cable holder for the brake
cable and the addition of a brake lever is all that's
required for the Hurricane, Whirlwind etc . |

English Electric Lightning Grip (pg2 cont)

The only all-British
supersonic aircraft to enter production, and the last
all-British single-seat fighter, the English Electric
Lightning defended United Kingdom air space for more than
twenty-five years. By designing a twin-engine aircraft with
the fuel volume of a single engine aircraft, English
Electric produced a relatively light and extremely powerful
fighter, but with the inevitable consequence of a lack of
range.

Airspeed
Oxford cockpit shown below.

The Airspeed Oxford was an
important British and Commonwealth aerial trainer that
served through World War Two. The system appeared in two
notable forms as the Oxford I and the Oxford II with a few
sub variants sprinkled in between. Charged with the training
of bombing and gunners for the Oxford I model and training
of radio and navigation personnel in the Oxford II, the
Oxford series as a whole was an indispensable addition to
the United Kingdom - serving to train numerous aircrews |

This is a mint condition Control
for the camera on heavy bombers to capture the fall of the

was fitted to smaller bombers or recognisance aircraft but
this is a possibility.
