idetifies this piece was removed from
a Shakelton of
228 Sqn, RAF
Serial: 4/228 (WR953)
One of the four MR.Mk.2 aircraft of 228 Squadron that toured
South America in October-November, 1955. The aircraft
carried the squadron number on the rear fuselage, although
this was not officially adopted until May, 1956, and were
numbered '1' to '4'. Note Union Jack on fin, and also the
non-standard outline to the roundel.

switch rotates 360 degrees make of bakelite and ceramics.

Venner ignition switch (pg4 ele)
This is a strange piece it has a small clockwork timer which
operates immediately the knob is turned to on winding back
to off.

I have seen these switches
used as detonators but never marked up ignition.
Operates for about 15 seconds
and is marked for 5 amps 24 volts DC and 5 amps 240 AC.
